rough and tough

Hey, guys! Long time, no see chat :)! I hope that you all have been having a great summer so far! I know that I'm SO relieved to have the pressure of school/grades off of my plate for the moment being. Speaking of what is on my plate this summer, I am participating in a summer program where I am living on a college campus for six weeks and taking classes (but there are no grades!!). Therefore, I am not sure how frequent the posts will be on the blog, considering all else that's going on in my life right now. I just wanted to let y'all know that I'm not abandoning you; I'm just getting down to bidness over here!!
Anywho, today's look is super fun for me! My style is generally pretty delicate and feminine, but I don't believe in trying to make my fashion sense fit into a particular mold. I've really been enjoying exploring other areas of fashion, like getting a little edgy every now and then. The key to feeling comfortable with rocking new trends for me is to combine a few experimental pieces with my staples.  I really love how this tweed shirt with a leather collar and a pair of slightly rugged jean shorts can mesh so seamlessly with my modern statement necklace and black sandals.

Shirt: Mossimo (Target)
Sandals: Madewell (sold out but similar here!)
Necklace: The Shiny Mix

. . .

Thanks so much for checking my newest blog post here on P & P! Even though it's not necessarily practical for my everyday wear, I am liking incorporating some grungier pieces into my wardrobe. Let me know if you have any suggestions of must-have pieces that I should look at in the comments section. I really appreciate your support, and I hope that each of you has a fabulous day!

P.S. My Fourth of July outfit post will be coming soon, so keep an eye out for that! ;)
