happy easter!

Hi, guys! I hope you all had a fabulous Easter Sunday. After attending the early service at our local church, we headed over to my aunt and uncle's house for Easter brunch. And, boy, was it yummy! I spent the afternoon chatting with aunts and uncles, catching up with cousins, and cuddling with babies galore. It was lovely to get to see everyone, and you know I jump at any chance to dress up!  P.S.- There are a ton of photos in this post, so just keep scrolling!! :)

Because we've had a deluge of rain this weekend, I decided to wear this cheery, floral dress from Old Navy (such a bargain!). The bright colors make my heart sing! One thing that I really love about this dress is the cut, which fit me very well without being too tight. To accent the vibrant pattern, I paired this number with a navy, ruffled cardigan (because it was quite freezing outdoors) and gold jewelry.

I know most people recognize Easter as a holiday when you get free candy, but I think it's important for us all to take a minute to consider the real meaning behind it all. In the Christian tradition, Easter is recognized as the day that Jesus arose from his grave and ascended into heaven to be with God. By sacrificing himself for us, he washed us of all of our sins. Whether you believe in God or not, this day symbolizes a fresh, clean slate to forgive and forget your sins of yesterday and work towards being the best "you" you can be tomorrow.

Dress: Old Navy (on sale!)
Flats: Target
Cardigan: Abercrombie & Fitch (old!)
Watch: Michael Kors
Purse: Kate Spade (different color)
